Cologne & parking there

I read about Cologne & seen other people pictures from there. I thought it would be a neat place to go visit while my parents were here. Ben really wanted to go for the music store. We loaded up the truck & left that morning. After driving around (I kind you not) for over 30 minutes we finally found a spot! The parking there was awful! The parking garages are small. See below:

The reason Ben wanted to go to Cologne in the first place was the music store:
After walking around we found it:
Ben & MJ on the side: Why are there no pictures of us posing w/ the Cathedral? Well, my dad had my camera & some reason didn't push the button down long enough so he miss taking two shots of us standing outside.
Inside the Cathedral: We weren't able to find the chocolate museum so we decided to go home. Since we didn't get a picture of us Ben promise me that we would go back. I thought he was being sweet till he told me that he wanted to go to the music store again- should have know something was up!

Pumpkin Fest

We decided to take my parents to the pumpkin fest they have near by while they were visiting. It's a cute little festival that have pumpkin everything: wine, soup, & more. We meet some friends at the commissary & we all followed out there. We first went to the pumpkin area to look at which one we were getting.
Here's some of us posing by the pumpkins: My parents: Of course we had to go play in the hay:
Here's MJ w/ all the pumpkins we brought: Of course she fell asleep on the way home: We all enjoyed going. My parents enjoy seeing a German festival. I'm sure we'll go again next year.

All boxed up

We ordered somethings from Best Buy a while back ago & they FINALLY came in! Ben of course open it all up in our living room & left all the packing there. MJ decided the boxes & the bubble wrap would be more fun to play w/ then her toys:
She decided to dress up Rocky w/ the bubble wrap:
I love the look on his face. Don't worry... he got a treat right afterwards. I think he's getting use to MJ dressing him up.

She then decided to wear the boxes & try to slide across the floor:
Can you see me: Here I am: I guess for Christmas we should just get her a bunch of boxes- huh?

Tea Party

One day MJ was being really quite so I decided to check in on her. I found that she was having a tea party w/ some of her toys. The tea set is the one that my brother Benjamin & my SIL (aka Uncle Ben & Aunt Nay) gave her for her birthday.

If you are wondering why they have a plate/cup on their heads it's b/c that their hats:

Done w/ Dora

Remember that Dora balloon that we brought weeks ago at the pig roast fest? Well, MJ decided it would be more fun to to use it as a chair & try to flatten her.

Trying to flatten Dora: No pictures please: Mom... no pictures: Got you silly girl:

Prayers For Katy

If you read my blogs or live here you hear me talk about my friend Jenn W.'s daughter, Katy. Their whole family are the nicest people you'll ever meet! MJ & Katy play together often. Last week Katy was admitted to the hospital w/ cold like symptoms that ended up being pneumonia. After staying there for 9 days now she has a plural effusion on her lung (aka fluid build-up outside her lung cavity) also. She's having trouble breathing. Now they got to do surgery to remove the infection. They're being moved to Mannheim, Germany (about 1 hour away from here in Kaiserslautern) since there's not a pediatric surgeon at LRMC (the American military hospital here). They should be doing the surgery on her maybe tomorrow & they'll be in Mannheim for 2-3 weeks in ICU to see how she does. I just saw the whole family today & they ask if everyone will just say prayers for them! Thanks!
