Visit Day V- Italy Day II

For our 1st full day we decided to go to Florence. After getting the rental car & going to the the library to print out stuff we were off to late start. We shopped around a bit.

The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. It took our breath away:

After walking around we found where Michelangelo was at but MJ was VERY moody so I told everyone it would not be worth it so we headed back to the car:

Poor girl was wiped out: After getting back into the car we headed to the leaning tower of Pisa. As you can tell it was late by the time we got there.

We found a really nice place to eat near by next to the beach. Me & MJ spilt a pizza.

Visit Day IV- Italy Day I

The day we got our orders to Germany I knew I wanted to go Italy. What I didn't know was how bad things would go. We decided to make Italy our last hoorah trip. Mom was still not feeling good so her & dad stayed behind. We got up at 6:30 & had a shuttle come & get us that morning. After dealing w/ RyanAir issues we were off. Yes, I was as sleepy as I looked: Taxi cabs are not allow on Camp Darby so we had to walk a 1/2 of a mile to get to the cabins.

After walking for a while we left MJ w/ Mollie & Michelle so we could go check in & get the keys.

We finally made it to our cabins. They're very cute cabin w/ AFN TV. They had a little room perfect for MJ. We walked to the BX & the Shoppette to get some food & some playing cards. After walking around for the day we were ready for our rental car the next day. Kristen, my friend called me later to tell me that mom was back in the hospital. I knew I should had stay but mom & dad pretty much made me go. I was lucky to have Kristen near by to take them. We played Rummy before heading to bed to the night.

Visit Day III Amsterdam

Before everyone came down I went to the USO & booked a trip to Amsterdam for Mollie, Michelle, & Ben to go. I was going to go but I figured since Ben hasn't been he should go. I was going to go to Luxembourg w/ MJ & my parents but mom still wasn't feeling well so went to the Springtime Bazaar for a bit before mom got sick again.

We woke up to snow everywhere. Before you send me hate mail dad wanted to shovel the sidewalk & I was more then happy to let him!

Mollie said it snow all the way there. Their 1st stop was the shoes & cheese factory. If you remember we all went years ago:

After the shoe & cheese factory the made it to Amsterdam. Their 1st stop was Anne Frank House.

They got in about 1:30 that night.

Schnapps Haus

After dropping mom off at home we rushed over to the Beck's house to meet up w/ everyone to go to dinner the Schnapps Haus. We all got there so late that we missed the "tour" part & went right up to dinner. After dinner we all tried some schnapps. Some were better then others-LOL!
