We finally branch out & went some where! We didn't want, okay we couldn't afford, to take a big trip. We heard about Keukenhof & the cheese & wooden shoes factory. The trip was done by the MWR on one of the bases. We had to be on the bus by 2:00 in morning. Yes, you read right 2:00 in the morning! MJ didn't not like the bus at first, but clam down once she saw that we all were going to go. We left Vogelweh a little after 2:00, but MJ didn't fall back a sleep till 4:30! We got to the wooden shoes & cheese factory a little after 8:00. MJ loved the shoes making part, but wanted nothing to do w/ the cheese part. I decided to take her to the barn which was near by. She LOVED the cows! She wanted to hug, feed, pet, & even kiss them. All I got to say is that goodness for Grem-X! After a while we found Ben & got way too many souvenirs! The cheese is great! I wish I could buy more! They're smart there & give you free samples b/c they know they got you! I would LOVE to go back there but it's so far away! We later got on the bus & headed toward Keukenhof. For those who don't know what Keukenhof is, it's the world largest flower garden for over 50 years. They have over 80 acres of flowers. They're open mid March till mid May. It's gorgeous & pictures don't do it justice! Even Ben was impress w/ it! Thank goodness for the stroller b/c MJ would have picked all the flowers. We did let her out to play in a petting area that had a bunch of animals. She loved chasing the chickens in the petting area the best. We left there & didn't get home till 2:00 in morning! We were wiped out the next day but it was so worth it!
