A Nice Thing Happen

Not often do you get to reconnect w/ old friends. We got lucky tonight b/c one of our (mainly Ben's) old friend to came to visit, Jason. Ben has know Jason even longer then me! They met back in Tech school & was lucky enough to get station w/ him in Little Rock. He was a groom man in our wedding & we were there when his 2nd son was born. After we got married we got the joy of being neighbors. We went out to eat & hung out all the time while we all were station in LR. We got orders to Dyess (Abilene, TX) & his family went to England. Then we moved here to Ramstein & they moved on to Alaska. We've kept in touch over the years by e-mail & call here & there. We haven't seen Jason since March 2003 when we lived in Abliene when he had ALS schooling there. I got an e-mail this morning stating that he was in town for the day w/ some free time & wanted to know if we wanted to see him. All I could was~ duh! I called Ben & after work we loaded up w/ the GPS & went got Jason. We came to house & had a nice at home dinner w/ a some talks of old times. He also got to meet MJ for the first time & I got to talk to his wife. We all talked about getting station back to LR after we're done w/ our current bases. After a while we had to drop him off back at his hotel but we enjoyed the time we had. It's just nice when little things like this happens in life.
