Our 4th of July

Every 4th of July Ramstein (the base where Ben work at) has what called Rocking Ramstein. It's a small thing that the base puts on. It's not much, but it's something. They have pony rides, a few rides, music, food, bouncy castles, & fireworks. Ben's new band was going to play after the fireworks. We all decided to do some walking around a bit before we headed out there tonight for fireworks & the show. Plus, Ben wanted to check out the stage before hand. We kept telling MJ about the pony ride. She didn't do it last year b/c we felt she was too young. She kept telling us that she wanted to ride the pony, so we went there first. She was so excited to see them when we got there & liked watching them. I didn't think she would go on her own, so Ben went w/ her at first.

We came home for a bit to cool off & relax. Ben left to go set up at 6:30. We left the house at 9:15 to bring Ben somethings & to go off to watch the fireworks before Ben played his show. We caught a shuttle from the BX. MJ enjoy the bus ride over. Since Ben had to do his sound check my friend Melissa was kind enough to let us join her & her friends & family to watch the fieworks. After a few cell phone calls we found each other.

MJ loved watching the firworks. After the fireworks were over me & MJ headed to the music tent to watch Ben's new band, Dezember play & to take some pictures:

While we were watching Ben's band a lady put this plam tree necklace on MJ. She told me just to keep it. MJ LOVED it!
The band was great! Everyone seems to love them! I just wish we could had stayed longer.

Here was my cue to head back to the car:

I got lucky on my way to go wait for the shuttle back to get to my car I ran into a friend & her family. They were so kind to help me till we got off the shuttle. By the time I got home it was 12:30. We had a lot of fun! The best part was that MJ slept in till 9:30!
